In an effort to keep our valued members up to date with what is happening at and around the club, the Executive Committee has decided to start this monthly newsletter.

To kick things off, the SRFC AGM was held on Saturday 29^th January after having to postpone it from the original date of 30^th November 2021 due to Covid.

Whilst timing it for Auckland Anniversary weekend may not have been ideal for many of our members, the Executive Committee felt that due to the uncertainty of Covid and having moved the dates a few times, that was our best opportunity to be able to hold it in person. It was great to see those that we able to attend.  Congratulations to the following elected officers:

Congratulations also to our newest SRFC life members, Liam Field, Dwayne Farndon and Don ‘Bones’ Goodwin.

Auckland Rugby representative Brent Metson provided an update on Auckland Rugby’s goals and how they plan to address the challenges that Covid-19 presents.

The Executive Committee also took the opportunity to outline to members its 3-year plan to strengthen and grow our club and navigate through challenges such as Covid-19, club funding, club membership and volunteer numbers.
