Mike Perez Suburbs Rugby Development Officier
|
After spending all my rugby years at Suburbs, playing alongside some great players, under the tuition and guidance of some excellent coaches, Suburbs, for me and many others, was a great place to be involved, as there was a strong sense of community and comradery between teams across all the grades. It is great to be involved again and I am looking forward to connecting with this season s teams in the same way. I see my role at Suburbs as a connection point between club and community, where children, young adults and parents can come together to enjoy their sports experience.
Rugby offers so much to our community with pathways to success that cover a multitude of professions from professional athletes, coaches and managers to sports psychologist's, nutritionists and physios to name a few. It's a game for all types, big, small, tall, short, fast, slow. and all cultures.
I will endeavour to take a holistic approach to rugby development, which encourages balanced lifestyle choices for a more complete well-rounded athlete.
We have a number of initiatives on the go this year, so I am looking forward to a fun filled rugby season.
Have a great season
